Tapping any of the four directions on the D-Pad of a DualShock 3 controller causes Minecraft to detect two button presses in the given direction instead of one. For example, if "Play" is currently selected on the main menu, tapping the down arrow once will cause the selection to move down twice to "Settings" instead of once to "Achievements".

Closer inspection revealed that both the press and the release of any of the D-Pad directions are registered as presses by Minecraft. Pressing and holding a direction in a menu will result in the selection moving in the direction by one, then releasing the D-Pad will move the selection in the direction again.

This also affects inputs in-game. For example, tapping the down arrow on the D-Pad with the default control scheme causes the player to drop two of the currently selected items instead of one.

      To Reproduce

Attach a DualShock 3 controller to an LG K30 running Android 8.1.0 using a USB Mini B to USB Micro B cable. Install Sixaxis Enabler version 1.1.0 to allow the device to detect the controller. Install Minecraft BE 1.12.0 and run it. Attempt to navigate the main menu by tapping the D-Pad. Hold and release buttons to verify detection of both press and release.
