I understand an iron golem would attack a player if it harmed a villager, but I don't think when you throw snowballs, or something similar like eggs, at a villager, the iron golem is suppose to kill you, because that happened to me. If this is marked as works-as-intended, I'll open a thread for it on the feedback site.
