Liquids not showing up to other players over LAN

What I expected to happen was...:
The water and lava would show up to me and the other player

What actually happened was...:
The lava and water showed up to me, but were invisible to other players

Steps to Reproduce:
1. The host device is an iPod Touch 5G running iOS 6.1.3 with the seed "nyan"
2. The other player is an iPad mini running iOS 6.1.3
3. The water and lava right near the spawn point don't fully show up to the other player
