When a resource pack that changes vanilla animations (for example, add the new lava texture and animations) in a world with EDU features enabled, the animations from vanilla are used instead.

      cause:

In the chemistry resource pack in the game's files, all the animations are redefined with the message "all the same as vanilla, but the won't play if not defined here". 1.4 fixed that issue.

      fix:

By simply removing the duplicate animations in the chemistry resource pack the  bug can be fixed

      Or

Make the chemistry pack apply before global/world resource packs to allow packs to change chemistry content
