When the auto-save feature activates, and saves the game, the game then freezes for 10-30 seconds, or sometimes freezes and never un-freezes. Mobs are frozen in place, even though they still make noises, but you can move around and use your items, though sometimes, your frozen in place too. It also sometimes re-winds what you did, and you lose any items collected near the time of the freeze.
