There's a bug that is making the game freeze in Windows 10 to the point where you have to reboot the OS and upon rebooting the game will no longer recognize your world, however, the saved world is still visible in your game folder. To fix this all you need to do is create a new world, save and quit. Copy the level.dat file from the new world over to your old world (replacing the corrupted level.dat) and restart Minecraft. You will see the new world you created as well as your old world with the same name. Your old world will load just fine wherever you were when it crashed with all of your inventory still in tact.
