There is a bug between the Elytra and Lava.

When you try to swim in lava, while wearing an elytra, it makes you go into the flying animation, and this makes it almost impossible to traverse through lava.

We do this in survival mode (on a realm).

If you try to move forward or swim in any way, it will put you into the 'gliding mode' of the elytra. You can see it on the paper-doll also.  It makes it impossible to move through lava with the elytra.
