Hello, thank you for looking at this issue.

I play Bedrock on my Xbox, and recently a very weird glitch has came up. After downloading my world from realms a few days ago, (which I had done before without issue,) I proceeded to go on the world I just downloaded. However, when I got on the world, my inventory was gone. And by inventory, I mean my entire inventory, armor, off-hand, and XP. I also was standing at the world spawn point. So, I thought that I somehow had died. But, there is no way I could have, as I exited the game alive the last time I was on. So, I looked up the issue, and a few people said that I might have gotten my file corrupted, and a new character was created. So, I peeked in my ender chest to check, and sure enough, nothing was there. I then tried to make my pets follow me, but they wouldn't budge. I decided that re-downloading the world might work for some odd reason, but however, it did not. I then went on the realm, and there I was with all my inventory, Ender Chest contents, and my pets responding to me. So, I put all my stuff in a normal chest I placed down, and downloaded the world again. When I went on that downloaded world, I had nothing again, and got all my stuff out of the chest I put down, and decided to just level up again, and not touch realms again. However, after a few days, I needed to have my world on realms as my friends wanted to play, and I could not be on then. So, I uploaded it. It later turned out that none of my friends actually went on, (rip,) but without knowing that, I re-downloaded the world. Now, I went back on that downloaded world, and I was back to my "original character," which was the one that I put all my stuff in chest, and I was standing at the point where I had the chest before. I started going onto my backup saves, and I was on that "original character" on every one of them. Very weird! So, I uploaded the world, re-downloaded it, and then I was back on my "new character" on all of the worlds. Extremely weird.

So now, I have found a pattern. This is what has been happening since that incident, however, it did not apply during what I have just said above. Uploading and re-downloading my realm world switches between "characters." They both are under my username, and have my skin. When I start up the world, the characters are each in the last place that they each left off in. They have their own inventory, pets, and ender chest. This "character" is then used on every one of the copies of my world, and going on a copy of my world before the glitch happened results in a new "character" who has absolutely no levels and spawns in with a locator map at the original spawn. Simply restarting Minecraft is all it takes to go back to my "original character." I do have proof of all of the stuff going on now if that will help, but it is in the form of many video clips from Xbox, which is why I have not attached them at this time. If you would like proof, I can surely attach the videos.

Thank you for looking this over. If you have any questions, please just ask me.
      Thank you!
      -Zach
