This bug also affects Java Edition; see MC-25512.

When I'm wearing a chestplate, it can be easily seen in both third person view and via the inventory screen that the sleeve of the chestplate covers the sleeve of my T-shirt. However, when in first person view, when the area of my arm that the chestplate should be (easily seen via punching) is viewed, my shirt can still be seen even though this should be covered.

      To reproduce:

      • Equip any chestplate (I'm only using a full set of diamond armour so you can see that I'm still wearing the chestplate in first person view via the hotbar)
      • Punch something

It should be easy to see that the chestplate sleeve does not render at all, even though it should be.
