since the most recent update, when placing a torch I often get two or three placed instead. It's almost as if the signal from the mouse click needs to be "debounced" as in old time electrical circuits. This especially happens when I'm walking and placing torches at the same time, where the mouse pointer will start on one block, but will strafe other others while the button is clicked.
