This bug affects iPhone 6 as well.
The keyboard covers the chat, the signs, and at all other writing things are completely unresponsive to the way they're supposed to change (e.g., the chat bar is supposed to go up and over the keyboard but it stays down under the keyboard. The keyboard covers the sign. The keyboard also covers the bottom of Book and Quills, and doesn't let the book move up.)
