I have been attempting to spawn into a mash-up pack world with the "starting map" box turned on, but I do not appear with anything in my hotbar or inventory. I have spawned in in creative (I haven't tested each other gamemode in every world yet) with no map in any case. Each time my difficulty was set to easy or peaceful. I have also had "cheats" on. I've noticed that even if I enter the world with the "starting map" turned on that when I return to the world options screen, it is off again. Also, on each occasion I ended up in survival and had to change to a different gamemode manually. I will include screenshots to add credibility to my statements. In the first 3 screenshots, I show what Settings I have tried. The Mash-Up packs this has happened on include: Adventure Time, Fallout, Skyrim and Greek Mythology; however, for the Greek map, the gamemode setting works properly. I have used the Adventure time world as my example. The next three screenshots show what I see when entering for the first time: I have a health and hunger bar, my gamemode is survival (even though the default is creative) and no map in my inventory. My final screenshot shows what I saw when attempting to check the settings outside of the world; for some reason, the starting map setting is switched off again.
Additionally, these maps are the only ones I've tried that this has happened on. This has NOT happened on one other world I've tried that isn't made by minecraft: The "Fallen Keep Survival Spawn". I get the starting map and my gamemode is correct. I will be adding screenshots to prove this as well. The "FKSS" (abbreviated 'Fallen Keep Survival Spawn') Figure 1 shows the settings I made before entering the world, and Figure 2 shows what I see in my inventory once in the world. I set my gamemode to creative and the map to on, and they are both working fine.
