Name tags above players (and any entity) only render when within a few blocks and looking directly at them. The client ignores the 'always show nametag' data flag.

I have heard this is also true with horses' nametags.

This is gamebreakinig for pretty much every mini game server incl. the partnered servers. No holograms show, NPC's do not show nametags. Server navigation does not work.
