Reproduction:
-Make a platform of glass (or any transparent/non-full block).
-Make a platform of any ore/stone block (there may be other blocks affected) a few blocks above the glass/transparent platform.
-Pour lava on the transparent blocks.
Result:
If you look carefully, some of the block textures above the lava begin to rotate.
