Throwing an arrow or Potion on top of you it traverses your body(In LG L70)

I expected a splash potion or arrow to hit me if fired straight up.

What actually happens is it passes straight through without hitting you.

Steps to Reproduce (in creative):

1. Change camera to third person (back) view
2. Fly up 10 blocks or so above the ground
3. Loooking directly up, Fire an arrow or splash potion straight up
4. Look down as the potion or arrow is falling
5. Notice that it will fall straight through you and hit the ground below instead
