Since 1.17 old type worlds have been updated locked meaning even if the world has been made infinite the world is locked to 1.17 this bug has been going on for years as a result some items have become glitches due to the world not being updated to the latest version. A fix for this would be to remove the update lock on old type worlds and old type worlds that have been made infinite. I am not able to experience new Minecraft features or updates on my survival world because of this and many other people have had the same issue over the years.
