At times, the game can spawn in more than one Wandering Trader within the areas near the player. 

Usually I see two Traders at once and on very rare occasions, three can spawn at once.
I managed to get a screenshot of when I saw 3 at once

I think it may have something to do with chunk borders and spawn radiuses in relation to where the player is standing.
