For context, I own a large singleplayer world with 1.6GB of size. In it, I have a large city with over 350 villagers, some animals, and many dogs.
Recently, I have been experiencing bizarre bugs when dealing with entities like dogs and horses. I will sometimes move horses out of my "garage," leave them elsewhere, only to see that they have disappeared, and to then find them in the garage they were stationed previously, or I will do the opposite, and put them in the garage (where they cannot escape), only to see them roaming the streets.
Another bug I have seen is that recently I have given some of the dogs around my house armadillo armor, but then I will either walk away or relog (no crashes involved) only to see that they no longer have their armor. The items are still consumed. There is no problem with items, just with entities and items used in them.
I believe that it has something to do with the sheer ammount of entities in my city, making the game unable to save data on all of them accurately. I have not experienced issues with villagers, or at the very least, I have not noticed any such issues so far. I have made lots of trading recently and, though I am not certain that they all retained their trades, I cannot recall having traded with one of them and then having them revert to a less experienced state, and I'd certainly remember such a thing for at least one or two of them.
I'd be glad to provide my entire world for inspection if I knew how to do it. Perhaps I will figure it out and edit a drive link with the download. For now, I have a video of the bug with dogs.
