Performance Issues with Lightning Bolt Command Block Spam in Minecraft Bedrock.
I am writing to bring to your attention a significant performance issue I have encountered in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, particularly when using the lightning bolt command in command blocks. As a veteran player of both Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Java, I have thoroughly tested this across both platforms, and I believe this issue merits investigation.
The issue arises when spamming the lightning bolt command using a command block in Minecraft Bedrock. Upon executing this action, the game experiences a substantial performance drop, resulting in moderate-severe lag and latency. This is in stark contrast to Minecraft Java Edition, where spamming the lightning bolt command does not cause any noticeable performance degradation, and the game remains smooth throughout.
It is well known that Minecraft Bedrock is generally more optimized compared to Minecraft Java. However, in this case, the performance disparity between the two versions is unexpected, particularly given the optimization reputation of Bedrock Edition. This significant lag when spamming lightning bolts on Bedrock feels inconsistent with its performance on Java.
I would appreciate it if your team could look into this issue and assess why Minecraft Bedrock is exhibiting such performance issues in this specific scenario. Optimizing this behavior would greatly enhance the experience for players who use command blocks extensively.
I will attach a recorded clip where the bug persists. This will be almost unnoticable since the Xbox game bar recorder only limits it to 60 fps. You can try it yourself to see it in action.
