Minecraft survival randomly stopped letting me break blocks or trees, possibly more. The only environment I can break is grass, bamboo and flowers. 
The game lets me break in creative mode but not survival any more. 

I have created multiple new survival worlds to try and test this and in every one, I get the same issue.
I have changed worlds to creative and then back to survival to test and same issue. 
I have tried deleting and reinstalling and hard resetting my switch. 
I have raised this with Mojang and was advised to open here, I have searched for an open bug but I was unable to locate.
