Since 1.1.0 releases, the sun and moon has been changes to rise in the east and set in the west, however the sunlight that displays on the side of the blocks are still from the north/south, even though the location of where the sun rise/set has been changed

On 1.0.0, the lit part is on the north/south, as the sun rise in the north and set in the south:

On 1.1.0 - current, the lit part is still on the north/south, even though the sun now rise in the east and set in the west:
