I went to make some plain banners today and the crafting recipe didn't show up in the crafting table. I had the resources, but it didn't show up at all ‐ even when I typed banner in the search menu. The only thing that came up was the banner pattern templates. I can still buy banners from villagers. I can manually place the items in the correct order, in the crafting table, and it will make the banner, but the recipe doesn't come up. We also tried this on the xbox, as well as  my mobile, and the issue was there as well.
