Accepting/following the claim link for a 15th Anniversary gift from the launcher, will overwrite the last skin you used with a default skin, if the last skin you used happend to be a classic skin.

This will happen even if you have open/unused skin slots or have an existing but not currently selected skin that can equip the new items.

By classic skin i mean, upload a png file of your skin like java, type.

      Steps to recreate:
      Open minecraft bedrock edition.
Add a classic skin and select it for use.
      Close minecraft bedrock edition.
Open the minecraft launcher, click minecraft for windows, click the "Wear 15 years of Minecraft! - Day {x}    Grab a free item every day for the 15 days of minecraft" popup.
      Select an available day.
      Click "redeem in marketplace".

minecraft bedrock edition should now launch and you should be redirected to an item in the market place you can claim.

Your skin has now been exchanged for a default skin able to equip the apparell you unlocked, and the old skin is gone.

Suggested behaviour, (any of the following is acceptable is):
Auto claim on launch of game.
Automatically swap to an empty skin slot before changing to a default skin.
Automatically swap to a skin that can equip the item claimed.
Let player claim item, with default skin preview but don't overwrite existing classic skin.
Let players claim items from the launcher without opening the game.
