The trial spawners cannot be triggered after turning the domobspawning gamerule off and on again. Try find one inside a trial chamber. You notice where the mob spinning animation still freeze and not spawning any mobs out of it, even after setting the mob spawning back on and having the particle animation plays from the trial spawners.
