Minecraft Bedrock Off-hand is useless when comparing it to Minecraft Java edition

Control Scheme:

• Minecraft Java Edition: Players can access the off-hand slot by pressing the F key by default (can be remapped). They can then place an item in this slot by dragging it there from their inventory.

Combat Mechanics:

• Minecraft Java Edition: In combat, players can use the item in their off-hand slot by right-clicking (for example, to block with a shield or eat food). This allows for more tactical combat strategies.

Compatibility with Certain Items:

• Minecraft Java Edition: The off-hand slot is compatible with a wide range of items, including weapons, tools, shields, food, and more.

.. think that the player should be able to put any item in their off-hand like Java Edition players can. If Mojang did this, I would be very grateful... (I think bedrock is missing apart because of parities)
