I thought this might be related to MCPE-42310], but this has happened on my single player world and so far I haven't experienced any damage.

Basically, I'll build a nether portal and enter, the loading screen will take a long time and as soon as it completes, I'll be sent into the going to the overworld loading screen before I had a chance to step off the portal into the nether. What sucks even more is when i return to the overworld I'm transported back to a completely different place in the overworld. I understand linking can be fidgety but I didn't even have a chance to step foot in the nether. It's almost like as soon as the nether loaded i had been in the portal long enough to be sent right back.

Tried it on the same world in creative and had the same problem. I have attempted holding W to move forward halfway through the loading screen hoping it would cause me to hop out of the nether portal once i had the chance, and it has resulted in varying degrees of success, however upon returning to the overworld, I'm still sent so much further away from the initial portal I built in the overworld to get there.

I understand linking is a complicated process, but I'd like a chance to go back to where I came from the single portal in my world instead of being sent maps away from the base i've built everything around.
