Versions where the bug is found: 1.20.41 ( from my experience, maybe its all 1.20 version. Not sure )
Versions where the bug is not found: 1.19.80 - ( all audio from versions below 1.90.80 is fine )
To prove the points above:
- I played on 1.20.41 and 1.20.50, the audio was buggy
- By the time I found the bug, I downgraded my Minecraft version to see if the bug persists. What I found was that the audio is fine in all the other versions below 1.20
The audio drivers: Realtek
My copy of Minecraft was purchased, not pirated.
The bug:
I enter Minecraft, the audio doesn't work. Its not muted, the audio is replaced by something that sounds like bees but is high pitched or the sound of electricity. Just know that it is very glitchy/buggy. This buggy audio only happens when I play Minecraft1.20 and it also affects external sound sources (e.g. Notifications).
What I've tried:
- Resetting Minecraft audio
- Restarting my pc
- Reinstalling Minecraft
- Reinstalling my sound drivers
Reasons why its not a problem with my sound drivers:
- The audio randomly goes back to normal after hours of playing on a server
- I plug in my headphones (audio works fine) to properly play Minecraft then I decided to unplug them. When I unplug my headphones, the audio randomly goes back to normal
- Note: The audio goes back to normal randomly , it doesn't go back to normal every time
- The audio in other games and applications work just fine
- My sound drivers are up to date
Side Note: In the attachment, you have the Minecraft audio being buggy. Some of the sound is the sound my pc makes
