On Java, redstone runs on odd ticks (Usually 3) which is fine and all but on Bedrock, it runs on even ticks (Usually 2) AND odd ticks (Again, Usually 3) which causes inconsistancies. From my experience, this causes a ton of problems Java dosen't get. Also Bedrock redstone is in general slower because of pistons and observers. Pistons are 2 and observers are 2 meanwhile rails are 3. (Observers being 2 in itself is a bug, as it is meant to be 1 tick but there is the bug thats already been reported, MCPE-15793)
All this is better explained in this video at 7:40

Also, pistons always check to see if a block is pushable causing more lag than java.
There is also the problem with observers not detecting everything in front it. Example: They dont detect target blocks. (At least for me. I checked to see if anyone reported this issue and they did but on a beta of the game so can't say for certain everyone gets issue or if its a client side bug.)
