A few weeks ago me and my sister decided to build a world together. We have put in many, many hours to make a nice little village. Then the crashing started. My world "Arda" which we play on is virtually unplayable. It loads okay but crashes with the "The software has been closed due to an unexpected error" message. This happens on single player and when my sister has loaded in VIA local play.
I am running the latest version with all updates installed. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing space on the system memory where minecraft is installed but nothing seems to work. Airplane mode makes no difference. The game loads fine but only runs for about a minute before crashing.
I do have the experimental "Villager rebalancing" option enabled.
Other worlds on my console seem to work okay, it's just Arda that crashes.
Could it have something to do with the village? We have about 20-25 villagers with houses, cattle, sheep, chicken and pig barns. We have an enclosed wall system with iron bars on sticky pistons to make "gates" that open and close with levers. I also made an adjustable enchanting room with sticky pistons, comparators and lectern. Could the enchanting setup be the issue? It is the most recent addition to our village.
I really think it has to be something in the village that is causing the crashing. If I run my character outside the wall away from the village, the crashing stops.
Recently, in an effort to fix the issue, I killed our librarian just in case he was the problem with the "Experimental Villager Rebalancing". Probably just a coincidence, but it did fix the issue for about am hour until we finished playing for the night. Unfortunately, upon loading the game the next morning, the same crashing issue continues. The crashes seem to occur most commonly around the area with the enchanting set-up and several storage chests.
