When crouch placing blocks in the nether (for instance to bridge lava lakes) frequently when you traverse a chunk border (I am guessing this because it seems to happen about 16 block intervals) the hitbox of the blocks you are placing appears as you place several blocks but the sound is not made and the blcoks do not appear.  You then get about 5 blocks away and all the sounds happen at once and the blocks appear but as the game thinks you are then in mid air, you fall into the lava, lose all your stuff and die.  I have tried turning render chunks right down but it makes no difference.  It seems to me that this value is being ignored in the nether dimension.

      Steps to reporduce:

      1. In any Xbox MC world, go into the nether with a few stacks of a block like cobblestone.
      2. Find a ledge over a lava lake.
      3. Crouch turn around and strafe backwards whilst holding down "place".

      Expected behaviour:

You should never fall off the edge of a block because you are crouching.

      Actual behaviour:

      As described above.
