The volume and intensity of these sounds is very startling while underground, as they come out of nowhere after a very extended period of complete silence and have no logical reason to be that loud and clear

I would expect that, if the thunder sound is kept, the low rumbling thunder sound effect would fit significantly better, and would help with the sound effectively being an audio jumpscare due to it being impossible to tell when the weather changes while underground
