Nether portal not spawning in the overworld

      Going thru a nether portal in the nether does not generate a nether portal in the overworld. Even after I built another nether portal in the overworld in the same place where it was supposed to generate, the portals don't link up (only from nether to overworld, when overworld to nether it does link).
