Steps to Reproduce:

1. Turn off screen animations;
2. Enable the Recipe Unlocking experiment;
3. Check the inventory:
   The tabs are initially missing.
4. Unlock your first recipe;
5. Check the inventory again:
   The relevant tabs show up and are usable as normal.
6. Reopen the inventory.

Observed Results:
The tabs never show up again; forcing you to use the all items tab.

Expected Results:
The tabs become completely usable once they show up.
