      Summary:

A parity issue that has been around for a long time, boats in the Bedrock version of Minecraft work differently than in the Java edition

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Launch Minecraft

      2. Place a bot in water

      3. Throw items on top of the boat or climb onto it

      Observed Results:

In the case of items and players, both will end up crossing the boat, as if nothing exists. If you drop an anvil on the boat, it will start bugging and teleporting incessantly.

      Expected Results:

The player and items should be able to stay on the boat without any problem, after all, real life works that way, and it doesn't make sense for entities to pass through something physical. The anvil should drop normally, no bugs, no excessive noise due to your teleports

      Notes:

It is possible to stay on top of the boat, as long as the player climbs up and starts jumping without stopping. As soon as it stops, it will fall off the boat.
