      Issue/Concern

In the last month, I've had to different World Save file corruptions happen:

      1. My world save previously called 'Dragonstone' which I've played in for multiple years. The game file just failed to continue to load and despite following advice from Mojang online resources, the file was eventually so corrupted entire chunks were altered destroying sections of the world I had made, followed shortly thereafter by the world failing to load or be recognized as a valid loadable world at all... Years of effort lost...
      2. Despite my disappointment, I love Minecraft, so I made a 2nd world, 'Dragonstone 2.0' in honor of the old world. As recently as yesterday, while actively in the new world, entire sections of individual Blocks disappeared from the world. I had made staircases and some storage (chests and barrels) next to an aesthetic 'Mining operation' I was creating in the Village adjacent to the Keep I was building and the Staircase and Storage I had built, along with all the building materials I put inside the chest (Emeralds, Crafting Workstations, Trading resources for Emeralds etc.), were just gone. The blocks that represented that build were just gone, the rest of the surrounding terrain still intact was destroyed as well and replaced with what looked like entirely new auto-generated Terrain. Just destroying the previous blocks that were there.

        Notes
      • Please note, I filed a new ticket because I found related issues to work corruption but not ones that referred to Active Game Session World Corruption. Related issues include:
      • I must say, it's incredibly disheartening, frustrating and discouraging to play a game when you're not sure whether or not what you've invested into and created will be there the next time you play, let alone when it happens while you're actively in the current game session; yes, I did not leave the game session and it happened while I was in a different part of the same world gathering more resources during the same game session.
      • With respect, I understand that Mojang doesn't manage, monitor or track that data or have the ability to retrieve it if lost. However, can you explain how in the 2nd scenario I described, how Blocks from my world were disappearing during active gameplay?
        • That to me (as a Software QA Engineer) doesn't seem like a Save issue, but an issue with the Minecraft servers and their ability to save the active game session in-between instances in which the game would be saved locally; i.e. that aspect of behavior should have no impact with saving, just general world corruption and accurate maintenance of the User's active session state.
      • All in all, can you give me any assurances regarding behavior and functionality inherently supported by the game that either:
        • a) this is a known issue and being investigated
        • b) this is not a known issue but you guys will investigate
        • c) this is known and fixed issue but not yet released but will be in patch 1.2..XYZ etc.
      • Can you give me any assurance this will not happen again? All I've ever done is utilized the game and save infrastructure as designed by Mojang and Microsoft for the Xbox platform.

Please, is there any hope of helping identify the source of the issue so we can stop it from happening so I can continue to build in 'Dragonstone 2.0' in confidence, or should I just stop playing this game that I have loved for so many years...
