I believe that this isn't in Java, but I know for a fact that in Bedrock edition villagers can claim and stay with workstations and beds that they cannot reach, and this is a very huge problem for me I hope this is a bug not a feature as realistically they shouldn't be able to see and use the places they cant go to.
