      Update to reported issue:

The problem is on HUAWEI MediaPad T5 tablets

I did a factory reset on both tablets.
After the factory reset, I installed all available system updates - so both tablets have Android 8.0.0 in the latest available version for this tablet model.

Then I installed the current version of Minecraft from the Google Play Store.

If I leave the default storage setting on the Android system at the Internal storage option, then everything works as it should.
If I change the in-game storage setting from Application to External in Minecraft, everything remains fully functional, I can save the game, the appropriate folders for my worlds are created on the SD card. I restart the game after quitting without any problems.

But if I change the storage setting to "SD Card" on Android then I am only able to play Minecraft with the in-game storage setting to "Application". Attempting to change the in-game storage setting to "External" will make it impossible to restart the game after exiting it (the game behaves as described in the original report) and the only way is to reinstall the game or completely delete the Application data in the system.

      ORIGNAL REPORT:
      1. I uninstaled and again installed the game from the google play store.
      2. I started the game and log in using a microsoft account
      3. I leaved the storage settings on "Applications"
      4. I created a world, I can play, everything works as it should
      5. When I quit the game, and start it again everything still works as it should
      6. Then I change the in-game storage setting from "Application" to "External" (to have an option how to back up my worlds. The game still works, I can create a new world and I can play.  But when I quit the game it is not possible to start it again - it freezes at 66% during loading the game.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game secveral times. The game is fully functional until I change the ingame storage settings. The problem causes this storage change. Even if I only change the storage setting from "Aplication" to "External", do nothing and change it back to "Aplication" the game will not start again after leaving it and freeze at the same moment when loading reaches 66%
