ever since the reason bedrock update minecraft on the switch has been completely unplayable. the screen freezes legitimately every 5 seconds and you can't even just walk around without the game freezing and then crashing.  i have contacted support and reset my device several times and confirmed with friends that i am not the only one this happened to.
