I was removing some of my farmland and jumping on the tilled soil to help it convert to grass faster and would either sink into the block, or get moved next to the block when it converted back to dirt.

Steps:

Till the soil with a hoe
Jump on the center of the block and you will sink into the block
Jump on an outer edge of the block, and you will be moved to the side of the block
