Magma cubes cause terrible performance issues

When exploring the nether, basalt deltas tend to be the most performance-affected biome. Upon investigation, it's caused by Magma Cubes. Not quite sure why they cause these performance issues, but frames definitely drop when around them, especially in greater numbers.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Enter the nether dimension
2. Find a basalt delta
3. Await Magma Cubes to spawn

Expected Outcome

Magma Cubes will spawn and cause no significant frame drops.

Actual Outcome

Magma Cubes will spawn and cause noticeable frame drops.
