Trying to make vertical cobblestone casts using lava and water does not seem to work on Bedrock Edition. Any working video tutorial comes from Java Edition.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a single-block tower of any material that will not be affected by lava.
2. Three blocks from the top, create a "+" sign.
3. Destroy the second block from the top, and place lava on top (right below the top block, which should be floating).
4. After letting lava run all the way to the ground, place water on top of the very top block, and let it run down over the lava.
Observed Results:
Only four of the lava blocks at the top of the tower are turned into cobblestone. The rest of the running lava blocks de-spawn.
Expected Results:
All lava blocks should turn into cobblestone, creating a hollow tower in the shape of the lava that was previously poured over the "+" sign and any additional shapes added below it.
This hinders creativity in survival and creative worlds alike for players on Bedrock. Without this feature, which only seems to work in Java Edition, players must mine for an ungodly amount of cobblestone, and then spend an ungodly amount of time building the large structures.
