I run a Bedrock SMP in vanilla survival mode with no mods or resource packs. The server has several players with mostly just one active player. This current world has been running since the 1.19 update last June.
After I defeated the Ender dragon last week and then traveled to the End islands, I saw two normal End cities. However, when I got close to either, most of them disappeared, except for some of the higher parts of each city.
Today I was exploring and mapping and found two new villages, both of which completely disappeared when I got close to them. I also spotted a ruined portal embedded in the side of a mountain cliff, which vanished as I got closer.
