In Bedrock Edition, after an update is released, only the owner of a realm can trigger the server to update to the latest version.  This results in other users not being able to log on to that realm until the owner of the realm has signed on and triggered the server side update for that realm.

At the time of this writing, 1.19.50 is the latest version, but this has been occurring with every version release.
