      Hello,

In the past, my online friend has been able to create a world in Minecraft Bedrock for the Switch and I have been able to join online without a problem. Recently, within the past month or so, I keep receiving the error message: "Connection timed out. Unable to connect to world." I am unable to play with my friend and am afraid of losing the progress we've made in our world.

To recreate the error, here is what we are doing: my friend opens the world on Minecraft on her Switch. I open Minecraft on my Switch, wait for my username and skin to load (to signify that my Microsoft account is connected), select Play, select the Friends tab, and select my friend's name. I can always see my friend's name and world, if she is online, which leads me to believe there is not a connection issue. Upon selecting my friend's name, I wait for it to load until finally I receive the message: "Connection timed out. Unable to connect to world."

I have checked that we are both on the same current version of Minecraft and both our Switches have the most recent software updates as well. We have tried invitations, resetting the game, restarting the Switch, trying different wifi, and re-downloading Minecraft; and the error message still appears. Can you please let us know if there is a solution or a way to work around this problem?

      Thank you!
