(Survival, Xbox) When attempting to enter a nether portal, I start to take damage once inside. It appears to be fire damage, however I can’t move to determine the cause. On screen, it looks like I’m stuck in place with other mobs, but with the purple portal distortion effect happening, it’s hard to really see what’s going on, I just know I can’t move and I start taking damage. I can hear other mobs such as piglins/zombie piglins dying with me. I immediately save and quit, but then the game will not load when I try to play again on the first try. I must now keep closing Minecraft, re opening, until it lets me in. Sometimes it won’t even let me get to the Home Screen without freezing and needing to force close an reopen. On attempts that I do get through to the Home Screen and select my world, it seems to be frozen on “building terrain” when I try to re load the game. On successful attempts to get to Home Screen, I get a “global resources reset, resources failed to load previously” message.

One successful re-entry deposited my player in a previously unexplored location in the over world matching the coordinates I was dying inside the nether.

I have tried different nether portals, all of them are doing this. I cannot enter the nether without dying/nearly dying, and then ultimately crashing the game and needing to make multiple tries to get back into the game. Game is fine when I do not attempt to enter through portals.
