Using xbox game pass ultimate playing minecraft bedrock (game pass addition)
Issue:
The game has worked with multiple xbox user accounts until recently. When one user profile (the affected account) launches the game there is no response from input -clicking "A" button when selecting PLAY or Settings or Marketplace etc. The menu resembles a frozen screen but you can move to different selections with the stick but you can't launch any of the selections.
Verified that affected account can log into XBOX and play other games
Verified that switching accounts does not recreate the same issue. Launching the game with a different user or switching users with the game launched works and clicking "Play" will allow minecraft gameplay.
Verified that the affected user account works on other platforms (Kindle fire)
Verified logged out of other platforms
Attempted solutions:
- Powercycled Xbox (actual powercycle with removing plug and waiting)
- Removed user profile from XBOX and re-added user
- Deleted saved game data from XBOX
- Uninstalled Minecraft and reinstalled (same game pass option)
Searched for solutions. Spoke with Microsoft XBOX support. They verified accounts were active and there should be no issues but had no solutions to offer other than to raise a bug report with the game developer.
