I am trying to move my Minecraft Worlds to a cloud service so that the files can sync between my different computers. I moved the minecraftWorlds folder inside the directory described here:

      https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4409165790605#h_01FG9YRBYAEM57PRKSHW99GM4S

to the cloud (trying both Google Drive and OneDrive) and tried to put a symbolic link or hard link / directory junction to the original folder in its place. With either type of link, the game failed to read the World files; in the World selection screen, there were no worlds shown.

The worlds show up when I delete the link and move the original, actual folder back to its place in the local directory.
