I cannot place cut copper slabs in the upper half of a block. Every time I try, it snaps to placing in the bottom half of the block instead. It does not matter if I am in survival or creative, or if I am targeting the side of a block, or the underside of a block. I have not encountered this issue for any other kind of slab.
