Summary:
If the player does not have the necessary files for the character from the character creator (to display the skin), they are downloaded when starting minecraft with the Internet. If you run minecraft without the Internet, and later turn on the Internet, the character will have a reload button, but when you click on it, the necessary files are not downloaded. The files will only be downloaded the next time you restart minecraft with the internet.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a custom character.
- Go to folder:
C:\Users\(name)\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\premium_cache
for minecraft preview:
C:\Users\(name)\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftWindowsBeta_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\premium_cache
- Delete the "persona" folder.
- Turn off internet.
- Open/restart minecraft.
- Turn on the internet.
- Wait for the character reload button.
- Try to reload the character by pressing the button.
To restore skins, simply restart minecraft with internet.
Observed results:
The button does not load the character.
Expected results:
The button will load the character as if restarting with the Internet.
