Edit: updated with more information on the bug
Friendly mobs (cows, chicken, sheep) that existed before 1.18.30 are no longer dropping experience orbs or giving experience when killed. Mobs were killed with an enchanted iron sword, an enchanted diamond sword and dirt with the same result. This has been tried on both the Xbox version and PC version of Bedrock 1.18.30 with the same user. This is happening on a Bedrock Realms server (KungenTeodor). Mobs spawned after 1.18.30 are behaving as normal.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Have friendly mobs (cows, sheep) existing in a farm in a 1.18.2 realms server
- Update to 1.18.30
- Open Minecraft Launcher
- Choose Minecraft for Windows
- Log in to Bedrock Realms server (currently on hard mode)
- Kill a few surrounding cows and sheep, the XP bar level or tool does not seem to matter
- Pick up all available drops
- Feed cows and sheep wheat to produce baby mobs
- Kill the new mobs after they have grown to adulthood
Observed Results:
For the pre-existing mobs, the drops are all available, but the XP bar does not add green and no XP orbs are dropped. For the newly spawned mobs, all drops are available and the XP orbs drop and the XP orbs increase.
Expected Results:
XP orbs should drop from the pre-1.18.3 mobs and the XP bar should show an increase in green
